Evening Shadows and Spring Greens

Well, I just thought I would show photographic evidence that the sun did come out today! It wasn't for very long, and most of the day was cold, rainy, and very windy.

This line of pines runs alongside the path that leads to our local park. We are literally just minutes from our front door here.

I thought that it was rather risky photographing so directly against the sun, and indeed the glare seems to have eaten a mouthful out of a tree! But I was attracted by the contrast of the shadows, and by the range of greens displayed by the grass and the young vegetation by the fence on the left.

Here is another similar experimental photograph, taken this time from within the park. Right at the back, you can make out the lighting that is used for the tennis courts seen in the main picture.
