Life through the lens...

Ace Acer!

Just had to blip this, What wonderful coloured leaves and that BLUE sky!!!

Today has been sunny, still a cool breeze, but no complaints, when the sky is this colour!

Walked down to the village today to collect my weekly pension from the Post Office.
I had decided to photograph the pink cherry trees in the church yard, but I was nearly back home when I spotted this tree in a neighbours garden. The sun was shining on the new leaves and the colours just looked so fantastic.
I also like the old woody part of the branch in this shot.
So this is todays blip, and the cherry trees will have to wait for another day.

I think it is is Acer Brilliantissimum, but as it isn't my tree I am not sure!

Mr C has managed to paint the swing seat today. We have been waiting for a fine day for ages. It looks fantastic. Much better than I thought it would as I wasn't sure we had got the right colour.
We have used Ronseal Wood stain, colour Antique Pine.
It stains, waterproofs, and protects. Looks really rich, in fact the seat looks better than it did when it was new! We just need a new canvas top now. As we can't get a replacement, I'm hoping a place I found in Otley can make us one.

Next job is the table and chairs!

Off to make tea, which will be a quick pasta job tonight.

Hope tomorrow is fine as we are going on a bluebell walk with the walking club.
Guess what tomorrow's blip might be!!!
