Life through the lens...

Bluebell walk

No rain today but no sun either. It tried to shine in the afternoon, but gave up after about 10mins!
Still the weather was good for walking, and we enjoyed our walk from Leathley to Stainburn, on to the Washburn Valley and back.
We did see some wonderful bluebells, but couldn't do the path through Riffa Woods, because our leader said the stream was a river, the stepping stones had disappeared, and you needed waders to cross.
So we had to make a detour along a busy road, and only walked through a small part of the wood at the far end.
We did walk about half a mile up a stream, which was actually the path!
However as usual the company was good and we had some beautiful views of the countryside, awakening to Spring. Lovely bird song, and the new born lambs, some now quite big, others still very small.
I love Maytime! I think it is my favourite month, inspite of the weather!

We have two helpers to do the shopping with us tomorrow, as they have a day off school. Teacher training day or some such rubbish!

Bank Holiday weekend coming up and quess what it is going to come colder!!
