Perthshire Open Studios

This afternoon I visited three Open Studios in the local area. What a wonderful idea. The artists in their own natural habitat, able to put on an exhibition of their own and other's work.
Printers, silversmiths, painters and sculpters, have all opened up to an art hungry population until 5th October. They are getting good sales and commissions from all the passing trade. One I visited today Ron Wilson at Kildinny Farmhouse, had hundreds of wonderful paintings, most of which he has painted since 1990. I wish I had a good few hundred £s, to purchase some, but I will just have to dream.
