The Post Box
Another thing that had dropped off the list of what made Britain Great.
We once had an all inclusive, reasonably priced postal service. Last week the costs went up by 6 times the rate of inflation, rural services are useless and we get our post in the early afternoon now, 1% of first class letters dont arrive on time (as a business that sends out about 30,000 letters a year this means 300 don't turn up on time, if at all) and even in towns delivery times are so late that to get our business post at a reasonable time I now have to pay a Taxi to go to the sorting office and collect it.
So I give you the Great British Postal service. Still part of our landscape but sadly no longer what it was.
