Rose - Honky Tonk Blue

Did not indulge my usual slothfulness by sleeping in this Sunday. Mother wished to go to the local Autumn Flower and Vegetable Show and I was looking forward to a different vista to capture an image for my blip responsibilities!!!

This is the bluest rose I have seen. Quite beautiful but very difficult to photograph. It puts in my mind how we used to put cut flowers into ink or coloured water to change their colours.

There was a delightful Dahlia that reminded me of boysenberries with cream and a plethora of vegetables and jams and jellies and the usual floral designs and Bonsai creations - more than enough to occupy an idle hour or more. Mother enjoyed chatting and we went home feeling well done!
