Autumn Collage

An appointment at the hospital bought us into CBD today. Decided to have our coffee at the museum and then a went and checked out the display of this years finalists in the Otago Museum Wildlife Photography Competition. I was a finalist again this year with an image of a Monarch butterfly caterpillar beginning to pupate. That makes seven out of seven with one highly commended in the seven years I have submitted images. The quality was very high this year with over 1000 entries received.

This image seen on looking up at the glass roof over part of the cafe in the museum. The glass was quite dirty as one could imagine so have tidied it up a bit. Like the way the background has bled leaving a ghostly impression of autumnal leaves on the branches above from whence came the collage on the glass.
