Ugly Ducking

Well no.
A pair of swans built their nest on the edge of the lake right next to the path. lots of people walk round the lake during their lunch break, so it isn't a quiet spot. A fence has been put up to give them a little protection.
Today is the first time I have seen the cygnets. I saw them huddled underneath mum when I did my lunch time walk and went back after work to see if I could get a photo. There are three I have seen but there may be more keeping warm under the adult.
The one nearest dived under the adult's wing to get warm but the other two stayed out. I don't think they were going to join the other adult for a swim.
It has been cold all day and I am not looking forward to going to the swimming pool later.
