My life, my lens

Morning view

What a difference a day makes. We woke up to bright sunshine this morning and the cloud had lifted from the mountains revealing their true beauty. This was the view from our hotel room across the valley to Mount Rundle.

It was our final day in our little camper van so after checkout we packed up and drove towards Calgary. Our only stop on route was in the town of Canmore to check out the views near the Bow River. It was then onward to Calgary as we watched the mountains disappear behind us and the flat prairies open up in front.

We arrived at the van drop off point mid afternoon and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had travelled over 900 miles in the last nine days and it has been an amazing trip through some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. The last time I travelled around this area of Canada it was summer and I prefer the mountains dusted with snow and the winter wonderlands we have seen on this trip. We had not planned our route until we got here and the freedom to decide each day had been great.

We then took a cab into Calgary where we are spending the next two nights at the Westin.
