having a good tail day

This new mama squirrel comes to my back door every morning for her daily ration of peanuts. And yes, I am giving her more than usual since she is feeding a litter. But she made me smile this morning as she mounted our deck railing and swished her tail in that quintessential squirrel way, as if to say, "I may be postpartum, but I'm not blue!"
