Teapots

These are the 4 teapots that I brought back from our trip to Yixing. We saw thousands during our visit so it was hard to pick only a few. Most of the Yixing teapots are small. You can see the size of these in relation to the small apple that the smallest one is sitting on. The prices of the teapots we saw ranged anywhere from around $5 to thousands of dollars. The cheap teapots were most likely all slip cast, the expensive pots were probably originals. Their shapes ranged from very simple to very elaborate. I came back from Yixing ready to get back to work in the studio. I must say that was a little inspiring to see all of those fancy little teapots in one place.
