I visited a friend in hospital, and her gorgeous baby Eleanor. She ended up having a c-section so she's going to be in for a few days.

It's always strange seeing full term babies now after having my tiny preemies. Eleanor was born weighing 8lb 14oz, and is wonderfully chubby. I got to have a nice long cuddle with her, mainly because she fell asleep and it gave her knackered parents a rest.

Of course you can't go visiting new mums and babies without taking a gift. I gave a white cardigan covered in bright flowers and a rattle toy for Eleanor and a bunch of flowers for my friend
