Llyn Clywedog.

I saw my first ever Red Kite here. I thought it was such a magnificent animal that I was captivated from my first sight of it. It prompted V and I to take up bird watching together and subsequently we have travelled all over the country - England, Scotland and Wales, searching for Kites. Today we visited the lake, firstly to catch a glimpse of a Red Kite and secondly to see the water level as Llyn Clywedog is a reservoir. V saw two Kites and I saw one as we were driving alongside the River Severn on the way there but we were disappointed not to see any at the lake. So far as the water level is concerned. there is no evidence of a drought here although I have seen the water slightly higher in the past.
