Red Legged Partridge
Went for a walk this afternoon in the local woodlands near Kilmuir on the Black Isle.
It was a good walk with plenty of interest. Of coarse there was plenty of Gorse looking resplendent in the sun, loads of Bluebells equally pretty, Pheasants, Tawny Owls and Partridge. The Pheasants and Owls moved or hid before I could snap them, but the Red Legged Partridge just looked up and carried on foraging.
I suspect it had a nest close by.
So I got a few photos of the partridge and here it is.
