What a fab colour!

We were SUPER lucky with the weather - the forecast was wrong! We grabbed the sunshine with both hands and set about doing the tourist trail! Did the rounds - trying to mix it up given that Rhian and Emma had seen it all before. I can never remember where I've taken my visitors - in terms of food / drink stops, but they promptly informed me that we sat in the exact same establishment for a beer stop in the Old Town and that we had also been to another place we stopped at! Typical! Managed to squeeze in a quick-ish stroll around Lazienki Park too, mostly for D&A to see - as again, Rhian and Emma had experienced a different area of it in 2010 - only, we got SOAKED that day - as the heavens opened, while we waited for the Sunday Chopin piano recital - so they didn't really see much of it as we ran back to the car - wetter than we'd ever been! Red squirrels were seen today, peacocks too. One with its feathers completely opened - as it tried to woo a peahen - in front of tens of people with their cameras and smart-phones trying to capture the magnificent sight.

Supper was at a place I've only heard and read about - Stary Dom (Old House). It was in a random place on the main road out of the city centre - so a taxi job. I needn't have made a reservation - the place was nearly empty - but then I guess we were pretty late in going out and it was a Sunday... We enjoyed typical Polish fare - all trying different dishes - the best way! Home then for some cherry vodka as a night-cap.
