The Big Cruise Day 6: Deptmore Lock

For a change, here is a pretty picture of typical canal countryside. A boat approaching a lock.

It is interesting in its way because this deep lock - Deptmore, on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal - is very remote, even though only a couple of miles from Stafford. Apparently the only way the lock keeper and family could get to their cottage was by rowing boat! I guess that has changed in modern times.
