Wastwater wandering

Went back to Wastwater today, after my wet day yesterday, and managed to do The Mosedale Horseshoe: Yewbarrow, Red Pike, Little Scoat Fell, Pillar and then down to Wasdale Head via Black Sail Pass under Kirk Fell! Out @ 10am, in the pub @ Wasdale Head just after 5pm! Amazing views, nice fellow walkers to chat to from time to time. No rain (until the end & then only a few drops) and a pint of lemonade & blackcurrant (driving). Then got driven back to the car by a lovely fellow walker and his *wet* dog. Undoubtedly the WORST part was the descent down from Yewbarrow via Stirrup Crag: at one point I had to scramble back up as I'd taken a wrong route to a 20ft slab of stone with no toeholds! There were so many lovely views to show, but I took this one as today's blip: Yewbarrow, Lingmell, Kirk Fell & a tiny bit of The Great Gable. A glorious day!
