Back and Forth

On Monday evening we were at a friend's house for dinner, and Linden was sitting in a Bumbo holding a cloth napkin. I noticed he was passing it from one hand to the other, back and forth...back and forth. He was very intentional: stretching one arm out to the side completely before transferring the napkin to the other hand. I'm amazed at this new skill he's been doing since Monday, so I wanted to take a photo. Here he's holding my "mommy necklace" (a necklace meant to be worn while breastfeeding so the baby can play with it.) While its not the best photo, I like how it captures his focused look (he doesn't seem to look at he object as he passes it), his outstretched arm holding the necklace, his right hand that just passed the necklace to the left, and his toes curled as he concentrates. This evening he practiced this skill with the silicone cupcake holders I let him play with, and he added an additional step, putting it in his mouth before switching hands!
