Shutters

We have a beautiful old rectory.
Big rooms.
High ceilings.
Lovely and cool in the Summer.
Freezing in the Winter.
Each room has shutters on the windows, to help block out the cold at night.
At some point in the past, someone has nailed them shut and painted them solid.
Today armed with saw, screwdriver, hammer and a variety of other tools I liberated 20 shutters, that's 5 windows in 3 rooms.
Only another 40 shutters to go and we'll be ready for winter.
Then just got to make good all the holes, and repaint everything.
