Red Leaves Plus

Leaves of a Japanese maple (I think), with its fruits or seed wings --samaras is the correct botanical term--as I learned through a response to this blip displaying them on a rainy windshield. (So this might have been titled "Samaras II.") The tree is perhaps 5 meters tall, on a nearby street.

The rain finally quit--we'll see for how long.

Earlier today I added this to yesterday's blip--forgive the repetition: I've been preparing bird images for an important presentation to my local bird club in June, and I found a really good shot of a red-shouldered hawk from 2008 in Florida which I'd overlooked--I couldn't resist backblipping it.
