the rut

a disappointing blip to end a disappointing week

i worked very hard this week - long, busy hours and because of other people's crap attitudes, unprofessionalism and in one case, stupidity, my efforts were wasted
i'll wash away my frustration with some red wine this evening.

i had hoped to get some decent pictures of the stags this morning but was too early - it was still dark. i did sit for a while watching them though. the roaring as they rounded up their ladies is incredible - especially in the half light.

riding home i just wasn't in the mood so a picture of this fella will have to do. i know they'll come in useful in the next couple of weeks, but just imagine carrying those things around on your head. this is one of the smaller stags around so i expect he'll have a rough time through the rut

oh well, cafe ride with the club tomorrow followed by a little retail therapy.
