Making Progress

The walkway is almost there! Someday it might look like this! It's been interesting to watch this project and the construction of a building. It seems a lot slower than a US construction site- but I already commented on the heavy use of manual (vs. mechanized) labor. They also threw a lot of random garbage in the dirt for the base of this walkway... at least from what I could see. I mean, I know they're going to use paver bricks (so yay for not using excessive concrete like we would in the US) but... well, let's just say the other walkways have had some pavers settle and break out- but no one seems to care. If these walkways were like this in the US, there would probably be some lawsuit against it. But therein lies a big difference in personal vs. organizational responsibility between here and the US.

It was another busy day, but a good one. Made some progress on the EWB front and maybe even on the work front too. Time to unwind and kick this cold before it hits!
