Convento da Penha

Well, it was a lazy Saturday, but Coralie and I finally got ourselves out of the house. Gabriel came with and we headed over to Vila Velha via the awesome buses! (It was like a Universal Studios ride... except REAL.) (As in you could REALly die if there was an accident). Anyway, we walked up to Convento da Penha- the beautiful overlook between Vitória and Vila Velha. They were hosting a large outdoor mass, perhaps in honor of Mother's Day. We watched the sunset which was, as always, gorgeous.

The convent is a nice white structure with thick adobe-ish walls, red tile roofing, and bright blue windows and doors. It is very beautiful and with it's great location, I was actually thinking I wouldn't have minded being a nun back in the day...
