Our Pre-Game Meal

Today was our eleven year old son Christian's final soccer game for this season. It was also our turn to provide the snacks. So, for the last three days, much to the delight of our kamali'i (young ones) and their friends and our neighbors, I have been experimenting with different Power Bar type recipes. Having "found a winner", I made enough for the team, their parents, their siblings, the coaches, the referees, the field maintenance people...well you get the picture. We live by the Old Hawai'ian saying, "Never eat 'til you're full. Eat 'til you're tired! " So if you're still awake you should still be eating. I'll try to post a photo of the winner tomorrow with the recipe (so that you can do your own creating). Until then, here is Christian getting ready to enjoy (and Carb-Up) with a breakfast of Chotlic (our daughter's pronunciation) Chip Pancakes,
Whipped Cream and Hot Chocolate.
By the way, they had fun and also won the game. There might be something to that choice of meal (or the cook).
