Mint on Mothers' Day

A lovely day. Brunch with Lizzie, a facebook message from Phlip in Melbourne. I called my mother and spoke with her for a bit. Cooked dinner for my husband and sister - chicken, leek and pea risotto with mint. The mint from our garden, which was a disappointment, as it had been too dry and had no aroma and little flavour. However, the risotto was deemed a success, and some is left over for lunch tomorrow.

I have memories of risotto from dining with friends in Australia. One of us always orders the risotto, and so it goes.
