Polyphylla

Onosma polyphylla, a long-lived, drought tolerant member of the Borage family found wild in Georgia and Ukraine. I grow it among my alpines, it fits in well with the larger ones and flowers for a long time in summer. In winter it looks completely dead .... but don't be fooled into tidying it up!
