House of Flowers

We're awash with bouquets, half a dozen at least since TSM had her operation; I even told the Girl Racer not to bother when she said she was going to send some, so overwhelmed are we with floral love. But being the summer so far that it is, these bright purple petals are pictured against the yellow glow of lamps lit on days when the sun fails to do its stuff. There's a lot more summer inside than out in our part of the world ...

Worked at home until 10.00 today - just as well as TSM needed help with quite a few things, like getting socks on. Once in the office it was an endless succession of meetings and thinking on your feet, which would be fine if there were more hands on deck or more hours n the day. The only really good thing was ending up in a meeting in a hospital bang opposite a Starbucks, so had a coffee and a salted caramel and pecan slice to raise morale...

Other good news was getting on the cross trainer for a solid 20 minutes of hard work, the best since hurting my back a little over a week ago. Oh and arranged a dental appointment - have been living on ibrufen and putting up with the pain for the best part of a fortnight now but enough is enough ...
