Banoffee pie

Yummy, didn't really have time to let it set properly, having decided to make it at 8.15 after our tea! A quick set in the freezer cooled the caramel enough for the cream to stay put on top! The biscuit base could have done with another half an hour I would say, but it still tasted delicious.
A busy day, up early as couldn't sleep and had breakfast with Euan when he got up at 7.15. Emily got up at 9.30 and tried on some of my holiday clothes for their upcoming holiday to Ibiza. I phoned great gran and great granda to see if Euan could come up for a bath, but they were not in. Looked out the window to find George cutting the grass and Mary sweeping the path! Euan got his bath after all.
Off into town to meet C and D for lunch and then shopping for some holiday stuff for Emily and some flat stuff for me. A wee coffee and a tired wee boy refusing to nap, then home for tea. Euan enjoyed his baked potato with cheese and tomatoes for tea and then went to bed with no problems following 2 reads of the Gruffallo from Auntie Catriona, and 2 reads of the very hungry caterpillar from cousin gavin (who I am glad to say is feeling a bit better).
Baked potatos for tea, then as blipped, banoffee pie for pudding. A couple of games of bananagrams later, C and D, and ruaraidh and gavin headed for home. A wee bit of knitting to do then bed for emily and me.
