One of those memorable Manchester Saturdays; when the weak but healing May rays cast blissfully down onto a super special event that brings all the fine faces of the bursting bicycle scene out to play for the day. It was Bicycle Village, the all encompassing fusing of passions all revolving around and celebrating, of course, the power of the pedals. Real life vintage bikes were on offer ride; including a penny farthing! An impressive array of bicycles engineered to accommodate varying disabilities were also knocking about, alongside a load of maintenance, a bicycle auction, live musique, canoeing , slack lining, uni-cycling ; the list endlessly goes on.

I feel I must hail my friend Arek from The Bike Barn, who despite working seven days a week running his community bicycle repair centre in both Manchester + The Lake District, he also somehow managed to pull of this extensive event to raise a load of cash for a really important charity childrens adventure farm]. Beautiful work Arek, I sure do hope you've had a kip by now!
