Swimming snail

It's been a day of extremes. Bright sunshine, heavy rain, hail and thunder and then back to sunshine again - with all shades in between.

Just before the heaviest thunder and hail, I snatched a few moments in the garden and saw this snail approaching the puddles on the path. (Maybe I ought to go out and see where he/she is now)

Now is not the time to spray the roses (in the middle of the rainstorm) but I am wondering where the ladybirds are right now
