Female Blackbird

The local Blackbirds have decided to raid the Quince tree.So by the time the Fieldfairs and Redwings arrive there will be nothing left.
  I think I will have to sweep up the spoils from the patio and put them in the feeder trays?
  Normally I throw them on the compost heap! But this year I have a gut feeling we will be needing them?
