Baubles

It was our Walking Club's Christmas lunch, and we stopped in Skipton on the way to do some more Christmas shopping.
These lovely decorations were in the shopping arcade.
 I also liked the trees which lined the main street. Full of white lights which had a sort of waterfall effect.Quite magical.
Unfortunately the chocolate shop we wanted had closed.
We have bought chocolates from Whitakers,  for as long as I can remember, and got quite a shock when we found the shop closed, and completely empty. A big disappointment to say the least!
Apparently it only closed a few days ago, and no one seemed to know why.
We had a lovely lunch at the golf club.
So nice to see some of the older members who are not able to walk with us any more, but still are able to come to the lunches etc.
We then called to see my brother-in -law on the way home.
 A very happy day!
