Nativity.

5years 58days
What a day my beautiful wee girl has had today!! Today was the Foundation Stage Nativity. A huge strength of Katie's school is their drama/productions. This did not let them down. It really was fantastic. Even more so when you consider these are 4 and 5 year olds. The dancing, the singing, the costumes, the music was all excellent. Katie was an utterly adorable angel, 2nd from right on the front, in the most incredible angel headdress. With glittery pompoms. And the token waistband tinsel of course. She glowed from the second she sat down - her signature huge grin and enthusiasm bursting out with each song. She totally nailed the angel's dance, even when she was whacked in the face repeatedly by one of her fellow angels. It was a wonderful show. Even the oxen had an amazing song and dance!

After the nativity, they got changed straight into party clothes. It was Christmas lunch today. They have a hat competition as part of this. Katie chose though to wear her sparkly Christmas hat with an added fancy Christmas bow. She said lunch was great apart from the stuffing. She thought it was fantastic that the dinner ladies served them their dinner at their seats today and they had crackers & singing.

Following lunch, it was the foundation stage party. They did a lot of dancing, some games, some party food eating. They played musical bumps. Katie proudly told me she had hunted to find one of the cakes we had brought. Except she had forgotten that she changed her mind about which cakes to take and took something different! She told me "everything was excellent at school today, Mummy".

Boy do I dislike not being able to crop thumbnails. On "old blip" this would be a tidy crop of just my wee girl's grinning head. Instead its a bunch of other children too. And looks messy on my collection of images. I am also annoyed as instead of my 5 year anniversary falling on 20th April, when it should fall, it has now passed because of the stupid merging of my archive entries, so no 5year for us :(
