Legendary Aircraft

Went down to Bristol, Southmead, hospital this morning. Took the bike partly because the car park there is ridiculous and you can spend half an hour looking and waiting for a space. It was a great ride, 30 odd miles each way. Lovely sunshine, which was breaking over the horizon on the way down, really beautiful but a bit dangerous to be handling a camera on the bike!!

On the way back I stopped just off the A38 which cuts Filton in half. In the distance stands this Concorde and went along the fence beside the BAE works to take a few photographs. Zooming through an angled chain link fence isn't the best way to take a photo but this was the best of them.

They now have a lottery fund to create a museum which will include this Concorde. It will, I expect, also include the old Bristol collection so should be worth a visit when it opens.
So we will then have 2 museums, one for North Gloucestershire at the Jet Age Museum in Gloucester, and the South of Gloucestershire represented by the new Bristol, Filton, Museum.
Should make Cowgirl and Sav happy :-)
