End of term

5years 59days

I was going to have a pic of Katie with all her Christmas treasures and creations. She's come home with a really cute calendar from her fingerprints, a tree decoration and a huge card with a snowman from her footprint. It says "to mum" inside. She said "it says to mum- the teacher said I had to write that, but its for you. I call you Mummy though". It's just adorable still! She also had a really sweet hand knitted tree decoration filled with sweets from one of her teachers, a home baked biscuit from another, sweets from the third. Amazing given there's 60 of them in the class!

They had a fun day. She got a bronze and silver headmasters award for keeping all the key rules for the first and second half terms (gold award comes at year end if the next two terms bring the same). She was very proud of it. They also watched frozen as an entire school. And sang Feliz Navidad. Which she knows as "the Spanish Christmas song in the Wiggles". She's also been singing "Santa Claus is coming to town"- her teacher has substituted his usual morning Yellow Submarine, Jolene and others for Christmas songs.

After school she wanted to go see her nursery keyworker. She was grumpy to discover she wasn't there (I then immediately remembered the same scenario happening last year) but left the present for her. We then got invited for a quick play with the neighbours and Katie had tea.

So, all in all, not bad! We have done it, we have survived the first term. It's had it's trials, though it's brought some fun along the way too. But oh are we ready for 2.5 weeks of MummyandGirl time. Bring it on.
