Hot

We all woke late this morning and it was hot and muggy all day. I think it got to 27 deg!

Andre was working overtime today so he had to be around all day to take any calls and access his work computer.

The boys just did their own thing -playing mostly.

After lunch Debbi came by and she very generously got the boys a decoration for the tree and had their names on them!! They were awesome!

We drank coffee and Kanye showed her his report, he loves when she comes to visit!

Late afternoon i continued the gardening i had started earlier. I really enjoy it apart from all the convolvulus that's every where. There's an empty section next door to us and it's really overgrown with weeds and wild flowers so it seems some of it has made its way through the fence. It was mainly the roots of the weed that took a lot of time to remove.

This pic is just one side I've done. I've planted tender crisp celery, pop eye spinach, rainbow silverbeet, cos lettuce and scarlet runner beans.

I've just got along the other fence to do- I've done the weeding and edging just need to dig it over.

And as you can see I've got more sand for the boys sandpit.

Once Andre finished at 5 the boys were a bit scratchy and hot so we took them to the paddling pool at the park. We stayed for a while as they had it all to themselves.

When we came back we had a salad sort of dinner and got them into pj's.

My lovely neighbour popped in with some potted petunias and a gerbera for me. She works at a nursery and was impressed by the garden. The blue petunia smells amazing!

I don't usually have flowers as I'm more of a vege grower but hey I think it's time I delved into the world of flowers!!


It's now 830 and my phone tells me it's 24 deg! So glad the boys are sound asleep and I can leave their windows open.

I really had a great day. My hands are rough from using gardening tools and moving bricks but I feel great.
