Favourite Field Flowers, plate 2.

The Wood Crowfoot (Rannunculus auricomus), The Hyacinth (Hyacinthus non-scriptus), The Grape Hyacinth, (Muscari racemosum), The Cowslip (Primula veris), The Wood Anemone (Anemone nemerosa).

The cowslips tall her pensioners be,
In these gold coats spots you see,
Those be rubies, fairy flowers,
In those freckles live their savours,
I must go seek some dew drops here,
And hang a pearl in every Cowslips ear.

Shakespeare - A midsummer nights dream.

..and..

Anemones, weeping flowers,
Dyed in Winter's snow and rain,
Constant to their early time,
White the leaf strewn ground again
And make each wood a garden then.

Still gloomy, with constant hail storms. Playing with my now returned music thingy..
A visit from Croftcrafts and the Crofter this morning, for the loan of a tile cutter. Hope it does the job..

Copying these plates also gives me pictures for making greetings cards. I'm sure people will love them..
