Kings Canyon Rim Walk

We were up at 5am to do the Kings Canyon rim walk.  What a fantastic climb and hike we had!  Absolute stunning views.  We did, unfortunately, come across the rowdy teen club who made the garden of Eden less peaceful than it should have been, so we pushed on with our climb.  Why do those groups always have the kid who has to be the loudest and the biggest show off to his group? 

On the way to the Garden of Eden, I spotted this little guy.  Could anyone identify him for me please?  Whilst taking his photo, a tour guide, said it was a Blue tongued lizard, however on google inspection I do doubt that.

If any of you lovely blippers come this way and want to do the rim walk, you don’t need a tour guide!

The climb is clearly marked and lots of fascinating facts dotted around at rest points.  We completed the walk I just under three hours.

The rest of the day, has been spent dozing, bit of a dip in the pool here at the site and I have finally found a wifi connection, sadly its at the bar….lol!  So I have decided on a glass of wine!

Tomorrow we head up to Alice Springs, drop of the love bug and then Tuesday we fly to Melbourne and will be joining ‘In an Instant’ and ‘MsMun’ for Christmas. 

Whilst writing this, we have just witnessed a sandstorm and the skies have gone very dark and its raining!!  Rain in the Northern Territory......  Its dropped the temperature down beautifully!
