Welcome to Kuranda
We did something very tourist today! We took a 'old world' train from Cairns to Kuranda. We snaked for 2 hours though rain-forest to get to our destination Kuranda, the history fascinating. Kuranda is very very touristy and not the type of place I would normally enjoy. I cannot lie, I did enjoy the train journey and I did enjoy the Butterfly house and the Bird Sanctuary. We have had a great day! Great lunch, nice people, lots to see and do and plenty of camera time which has resulted in more choice than normal for blip!! This blip comes straight out of camera!
We took the same train back to Cairns even though we did have the choice of the Skyrail but seeing as I have a major problem with heights, we I decided to stick to the train. No idea why the train felt safer than being suspended in thin air as some of the ravine drops made my hairs stand on end!! Its all very irrational really and I need to learn to overcome such silly matters, however I did feel safer is a rickety old train.
By the time we got home it was time for a quick shower and get ready for dinner.
We are back 'home' now and its time for bed!! Its exhausting not working!!
