Don't head for the hills!
I am feeling a lot better after a good night's sleep and lots of water to drink so thoroughly enjoyed pottering about the greenhouse in the morning, moving courgettes, sweet peas and petunias into the cold frame with a view to planting them out soon. The runner beans seemed to suffer a bit while I was away so they need a bit more nurturing before I expose them to this ridiculously cold May. The tomato plants which I planted into their growbags before leaving are looking just great so many thanks to my friendly neighbours.
This afternoon's walk was superb as the wind had died down a bit and I managed to lift my head sufficiently to savour how green the landscape has now become. I checked out the larch cones and they have changed again and I will do another blip of them shortly. However today's blip chose itself. As I was returning to the car with two well tired dogs I saw this wonderful sight as the rain swept in across the hills while the sun was still lighting up the foreground foliage and the blue sky remained gallant and defiant on the right! I had certainly timed the walk well.
