All the fun of the fair
It was eerily quiet as I walked through the meadows and towards Waverley to meet mum. I stopped in at the Museum of Scotland- there was hardly anyone there. I found everyone on Princes Street, panic Saturday I think it was. The pavements were heaving with people and the Christmas market was packed, on what might be the last sunny afternoon before Christmas.
Sir Walter Scott is sat in his perch over seeing it all. I wonder what he would make of the vomit comet swinging around near the monument? You must get a great, slightly blurry, view from up there.
