Chatsworth Lion

At Chatsworth House one of the rooms contains two huge carved stone lions which must weigh several tons each. How anyone ever managed to move them, still less manoeuvre them, into an internal space Incannot imagine. At any rate they are fine, handsome specilens, and so we treated ourselves to a replica pair as a Christmas gift to ourselves, and they now sit proudly on our hearth. Here is one of the two.
