Zak

The Deacon of our local church is a trainer of guide dogs for the blind.
At about yearly intervals she takes on a new young dog and embarks on an intensive training and socialisation programme.
I feel that the most difficult thing for her must be giving up each dog when she has formed a strong attachment, but she appears reconciled to that and takes it in her stride.
So here is her latest dog in training - a 12 weeks old pedigree German Shepherd called "Zak", photographed in our local cafe this morning.
He is delightful, already very attentive and obedient. Zak has enormous paws and is going to be a very big boy when he grows up.
