.... Terrible photos that in fact records something pretty darned special. Today Katie watched the Bolshoi for the first time, watching their live broadcast of the Nutcracker. She knows the story and was totally enthralled. The photo is the Nutcracker Prince taking an encore after the first act. Her face when the Nutcracker doll turned into the Prince was just wonderful. She absolutely loved it and said how much she would like to dance like that when she is big. She thought Marie (who she refused to call anything other than Clara) was a beautiful dancer - "just look at her ballet, mama" she said to me, as she tried to fight her urges to dance along.
