Flood defences

Working in the shop this afternoon, but very quiet.  Everyone was in Kirkwall, getting the last of their food shopping.  By all reports, the supermarkets were heaving!

The flood defences are still in place in St Margaret's Hope.  Very high tides forecast for the next few days, which means several buildings, including the shop, are at risk, so we are keeping an eye on things!

On Christmas eve we move everything upstairs, out of harm's way, as we don't re-open until the beginning of February,  The end of another year!
