In Orkney, like a lot of rural areas, there is a rather laid back attitude to getting things done.  It can be very frustrating at times, but you just have to live with it!  We've waited a week for a local contractor to come and take the old keel and remains of the trailer away, but he's never appeared.  Yesterday I got in touch with scrap dealers in Kirkwall who came down this morning, as arranged, and whisked it away!

Unfortunately it didn't get a lot lighter than this all day but I dashed into Kirkwall and got the last of the bits and pieces.  Met another blipper, busy with his last minute shopping too!
