This is what happens when you have a sofa at the otherside of your window to the kitchen
He hears a noise, isn't allowed in to investigate, so he pole vaults onto the back of the sofa and leans on the windowsill for a better look, then when he thinks you've got him sussed, he hides behide the window frame!
