Like a lamb...

Since most years we (being the younger part of the family) go a visiting on Christmas Day - Boxing Day has become our sort of tradition. Neither of us like turkey all that much -0 so for the last dozen years or so leg of lamb has become a tradition - & the benefit of living here - we can go directly to the farm & buy a fresh one that was probably reared in the fields we live in.
This years been very busy with France & exhibitions, Sport England and, well life - so yesterday we suddenly realised that we'd not done anything about sorting the meat. I ventured out into the teeth of the storm (today's Blip is normally a little four foot wide beck with wagtails and dippers) and rocked up at the farm a little sheepishly to see if they'd anything left.
"Ay lad" said Mr Dunning - "we knew you'd pop up - there's a leg in the larder for you".
After 14 years this actually made me feel a bit like a local!
