Napping

On this dreary/rainy day, this little red squirrel took a nap in this dead tree trunk.  A good resting spot?  Protection from the rain?  Probably, but I'm betting that the biggest draw to this particular napping perch was all the seed I placed below.  Much lower on the old tree, within the woodpecker-made crevices, I occasionally tuck some seed for the wildlife to find.  This smart guy napped above, and snacked blow, on and off for a while this morning. :)

Not enough light for another landscape outing.  That may have to until after Christmas... busy, busy busy these next few days!!
