Christmas Greetings

Today's the day ......................... to hear from friends

We had a text message today, including a funny video clip - wishing us season's greetings from three friends in Singapore.

It would take me a while to tell you the story of how we came to meet each other.  Suffice to say, we were rescued by Jeanne when we were at a pretty low ebb in the middle of Singapore.  She turned things round completely for us.  We went on to have a wonderful time in this amazing city - and it was through her that we came to meet Edward and Roy.  They came across to the UK in May so we were able to show them round some of the Lake District and repay a bit of their kindness.

So it was great to hear from them today - and it made us think that a year ago, we had no idea of their existence.  It was one of the very good things that happened to us this year ..............................
